Is there anyway to get a list of schools that participate? I’m moving my family to California and my high school student wants to know if any schools in the Santa Barbara area have teams?

Hello Mrs. Griffiths,
Here is a document with a list of schools that have competed in SoCal tournaments over the past year and a half: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Gt1o0u-8P6pxc2BhxO0TK39JyjFleKhBYhwe9ayfLAg/edit?usp=sharing. Of these schools, I think that Dos Pueblos is in the Santa Barbara area. Please note that this list doesn’t necessarily cover all schools that may have teams, as some schools haven’t attended tournaments recently but still have teams, and I may have simply missed some via human error—if this is the case, I apologize. I’d also encourage you to use these search engines: https://hdwhite.org/qb/stats/ and https://www.naqt.com/stats/school/search.jsp to see if schools have (or have ever had) a team.
If you find that there is not a team at your child’s school, there are plenty of resources I’d love to share that help students set up a club and find teammates. Our quizbowl community is always happy to have interested potential new members. Feel free to shoot me an email at freddieoharaiii AT gmail DOT com, or caquizbowl AT gmail DOT com with any questions, comments, or concerns—my inbox is always open. Welcome to Southern California!
